JFRFN delivers thoughtful, actionable emails to your clients every morning to help them stay grounded between sessions. Just $199/month for unlimited clients. Cancel anytime.
Even with excellent support while clients are in session or on-site, the real test of recovery happens in the hours, evenings, and weekends when they’re back in their own lives.
Triggers appear. Old patterns return. Motivation fades. And no matter how good the programming is, there are long stretches where clients are on their own.
JFRFN was built to help close that gap.
Every morning (7 days a week/365 days a year), your clients will receive short, real-talk emails full of proven recovery principles, tools, and success stories.
Real, compassionate wisdom focused on the underlying causes of addiction—not just surface-level symptoms
Tools and principles drawn from 12-step, SMART, Recovery Dharma, Refuge Recovery, The Science of Creative Intelligence, and much more
Raw honesty mixed with hope—written by someone who’s actually been through it (5+ years clean, CCAR-certified)
Each email ends with a clear, actionable takeaway for immediate application

Andrew L. Hicks is a CCAR-certified Recovery Coach, NADA-trained auricular acupuncturist, and a longtime leader in the Buddhist recovery community. With over five years in stable recovery (seven years clean from his favorites), he brings both deep personal experience and professional training to this work.
Andrew is passionate about unity across recovery paths. JFRFN is intentionally non-dogmatic — drawing wisdom from 12-step programs, SMART Recovery, Recovery Dharma, Refuge Recovery, and all the rest — because recovery is stronger and life is more enjoyable when we focus on that which unifies rather than divides.
Andrew is not a guru. He’s just a dude who’s been in the trenches, remains committed to recovery for life, and is here to do his best to support others on their journey.

His writing is much less grumpy these days, but he stands by the title's "early recovery gusto".
